Premium Ceramic Materials
We use the same high-quality materials as top dental laboratories. Each material is selected for the specific needs of your tooth.
IPS e.max
Lithium disilicate glass-ceramic
The gold standard for natural aesthetics. Mimics the translucency and light-reflecting properties of real enamel. Ideal for front teeth, veneers, and visible restorations.
Zirconia
High-strength ceramic
The strongest dental ceramic available. Exceptional durability for back teeth under heavy bite forces. Allows thinner restorations that preserve more tooth structure.
Composite Resin
Advanced polymer composite
Versatile material for inlays, onlays, and temporary restorations. Tooth-colored and biocompatible. Used when specific clinical situations call for it.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is CEREC technology?
CEREC stands for Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics. It is an advanced CAD/CAM system that allows us to scan, design, mill, and place custom ceramic restorations in a single visit — eliminating temporaries and return appointments.
What can be made with this technology?
Our CEREC system fabricates single crowns, porcelain veneers, inlays, onlays, endocrowns, and implant crowns. Small bridges can also be milled in-office. Full-arch restorations and complex multi-unit bridges are fabricated by our partner lab.
Are same-day restorations as strong as lab-made ones?
Yes. CEREC restorations use the same premium ceramic materials as dental laboratories — IPS e.max lithium disilicate and zirconia. Clinical studies demonstrate equivalent longevity and strength.
How long does the entire process take?
From scan to bonded restoration, the entire process takes approximately two hours. The digital scan takes about 5 minutes, design takes 10 minutes, milling takes 15 minutes, sintering takes 14 minutes, and final fitting and bonding takes 15 minutes.
Is the digital scan comfortable?
Extremely comfortable. The Primescan is a small handheld camera that captures images as it passes over your teeth. No gagging, no messy material, and no waiting for impressions to set.
What materials are available?
We use IPS e.max lithium disilicate for natural aesthetics and strength, zirconia for maximum durability on back teeth, and advanced composite resins for specific applications. Each material is selected based on tooth location and functional requirements.
Does this cost more than traditional restorations?
No. Same-day CEREC restorations at AK Ultimate Dental are competitively priced with traditional crowns. The technology reduces lab fees and eliminates temporary materials. Insurance covers CEREC restorations the same as traditional ones.
How long do CEREC restorations last?
With proper care, CEREC crowns and restorations typically last 10 to 20 years — comparable to traditional lab-fabricated restorations. Good oral hygiene and regular dental visits help maximize their lifespan.
